An important weekend highlights the Pac-10 women's basketball schedule as the top three teams in the Conference meet up in the Bay Area beginning Thurs., Feb. 14 ... ARIZONA STATE, currently in third place behind STANFORD with a 10-2 league record, joins ARIZONA for a tough road trip against two Top-10 teams ... The Sun Devils, receiving votes in this week's Associated Press poll, will take on No. 9 CALIFORNIA, Thurs., Feb. 14, followed by a Sat., Feb. 16 date with No. 6 Stanford ... The 1 p.m. tip with the Cardinal will be televised live on FSN ... At the other end of the Bay, the Wildcats and Golden Bears will face off on Comcast at 1 p.m. ... Another interesting matchup features USC at UCLA on Sun., Feb. 17 ... The Trojans and Bruins are tied for fourth place in the Conference standings (8-5), as USC got the best of UCLA in the first round matchup, 64-56 ... OREGON and OREGON STATE head to WASHINGTON and WASHINGTON STATE ... The Civil War rivals are looking for a season sweep as both teams went 2-0 against the Huskies and Cougars earlier this season.

As one would expect, the race to crown the Pac-10 champion will depend on who can defend their home court and get at least a split on the road ... California and Stanford, sitting in first and second respectively, are both undefeated on their home courts at 6-0 and 7-0 ... Arizona State, in third place, is the only team in the Conference with an unblemished record on the road (5-0) ... A couple of teams are looking for their first Pac-10 road wins, including Oregon State, which travels to Washington and Washington State this weekend ... All told, the top five teams in the Conference are 29-4 at home and 20-11 on the road.

Stanford SR G Candice Wiggins put together three straight 20-point games last week as the Cardinal defeated Santa Clara, Oregon and Oregon State ... Wiggins scored a total of 70 points (a 23.3 average) to bring her career point total to 2,323 ... She needs just 26 points to tie Tanja Kostic of Oregon State (1993-96) for second place on the Pac-10's all-time scoring list at 2,349 ... USC's Lisa Leslie (1991-94) holds the all-time scoring record of 2,414 ... Wiggins needs just 92 points to break the Pac-10 scoring record.

UCLA SR F Lindsey Pluimer was selected to the 2008 CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District 8 First Team, and is now eligible for the national ballot for Academic All-America honors ... Pluimer, who earned third-team honors as a sophomore and second-team honors as a junior, last weekend became just the sixth player in UCLA history to record 1,400 points (1,472) and 700 rebounds (700) ... In order to be nominated for Academic All-District and All-America honors, a player must be a starter or significant contributor, must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA, and have completed at least one full academic year at her institution.

With Stanford's 96-74 win over Santa Clara on Tuesday, the Pac-10 improved to 65-47 (.580) in all non-conference regular season games in 2007-08 ... The Cardinal victory marked the third straight year that the league has won at least 65 games outside of the Pac-10 in regular season play, and the fifth straight year above the 60-win plateau.
