Blue Team Finishes Third at Cougar Invitational

The UCLA men's golf Blue Team finished third Tuesday at the Cougar Invitational, hosted by Cal State San Marcos at San Luis Rey Downs in Bonsall, CA.

The Bruins posted a team score of 887 (+23) over 54 holes, 10 shots behind Fresno State, which won the event with a score of 877 (+13). Point Loma finished second at 885 (+21) and LaVerne was fourth at 895 (+31). Redlands captured fifth place at 900 (+36).

Junior Erik Flores placed third with a 54-hole score of 212 (-4) after posting rounds of 72-71-69. Senior Brandon Christianson tied for 12th at 224 (+8) after carding a final round of 71 (-1). Junior James Lee tied for 14th at 226 (+10) and sophomore Ben Choe tied for 26th at 228 (+12) following a final round 72 (E). Freshman Connor Driscoll tied for 44th with a score of 233 (+17).

Fresno State's Grant Doverspike won the tournament with a three-round total of 208 (-8).
