Offense Catches Fire as No. 4 ASU Softball Takes Three in Day Two of Kajikawa Classic

Against the Cavaliers, Katie Crabb went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored to lead the offense as Amanda Nesbitt led the defense to her second win with the complete game effort allowing only nine hits and striking out eight. The Sun Devils scored five in the first inning and never looked back as they put up three doubles and two singles before being retired.
Against the Memphis Tigers, Megan Elliott pitched the complete game holding the Tigers to only three hits and allowing only one run across. The offense lit up the boards again, this time taking on one in the second and rattling off seven in the third inning. Leading the way was Kaitlin Cochran who went three-for-three with three RBI and two runs scored as she hit two doubles and a home run to ignite the Sun Devil offense to their seventh win of the season.
In the nightcap, the Sun Devil offense took no rest, putting up nine runs on nine hits, one a grand slam from Krista Donnenwith in the fourth to end their third game of the day early. Katie Burkhart allowed only one hit and struck out 12 in the complete game shutout en route to ASU's eighth win of the season and fourth of the Kajikawa Classic.
