No. 2/4 Softball to Host Littlewood Classic and Team Canada

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Sun Devil Softball squad will continue their 2008 home season this weekend as they set to host the Littlewood Classic from February 22-24 where they will face-off against Radford, Buffalo, Illinois State, Iowa and Miami of Ohio.
After completing the Littlewood Classic on Sunday, the Sun Devils will also gear up to host Team Canada in an exhibition double header on Tuesday, February 26. The fi rst game starts at 3:30 p.m. at Farrington Stadium.
Against the Buffalo Bulls the Sun Devils are a perfect 4-0 alltime since theirfirst meeting in 2002. In their last match-up in 2004, the Sun Devils wrapped up an 8-0 win in five innings.
Against the Illinois State Redbirds ASU is 27-2 all-time since theyfirst met up in 1971. Last season, the Sun Devils topped the Redbirds 10-1 in fi ve innings at Farrington Stadium. ASU has an eight game winning streak going against the Redbirds dating back to 2002.
Versus the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Sun Devils have etched out an 18-10 all-time record. ASU has a four game winnging streak against the Hawkeyes since 2005.
This is ASU'sfirst meeting against the Miami Redhawks and Radford Highlanders.
The Sun Devils remain home next weekend to host their third home tournament of the season with the Wilson/DeMarini Invitational on Feb. 29- March 2. Featured teams are: Arkansas, BYU, Creighton, Drake, FIU and San Jose State . All games will be played at ASU's Farrington Stadium with the exception of two moved to Mesa Community College.
