THIS WEEKEND'S MEET
Saturday, February 23 at 1:00 p.m.

Avery Aquatic Center, Stanford, Calif.

MEET NOTES
Stanford and Cal renew their rivalry this Saturday in the final dual meet of the season for both teams. The meet should provide great competition as both teams prepare for the Pac-10 and NCAA Championships. Stanford is led by Nate Cass, Austin Staab, and Jason Dunford who have acheived automatic national qualifying times already this season. Cass achieved his mark in the 200 breast, while Staab and Dunford achieves their marks in the 100 fly. In addition, Stanford has a national `B' cut in every other event, including diving and the relays. Cal comes into the meet under a new leader, first year coach David Durden. Durden's squad is led by national automic qualifiers David Russell in the 100 free and Damir Dugonjic in the 100 breast.

QUOTABLE
Stanford Head Coach, Skip Kenney on the upcoming meet versus Cal: 'Cal is a great unknown this year because after 33 years, Cal has a new head coach. Over the years the dual meets with Cal have been very fast and extremely close. The swim meets are fast regardless of the weather because both teams springboard from this great dual meet into the Pac 10 Championships. Another reason for such fast swimming is this is the last dual meet for our seniors and the team always likes to send them out on a positive note. It gives the winning school bragging rights for many years.'
