UCLA Baseball Game Suspended at Cal State Northridge Due to Darkness

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Tuesday afternoon's baseball game between UCLA and Cal State Northridge has been suspended in the middle of the eighth inning due to darkness. No. 3 UCLA led host Cal State Northridge, 22-2, in the middle of the eighth inning after sunset at Matador Field.

A final decision on the outcome of Tuesday's game will be determined Wednesday. Statistics from Tuesday's contest will not be made official until the game's status is resolved.

Cal State Northridge visits UCLA on Tuesday, April 15 at 6 p.m.

The Bruins (1-1) return to action Wednesday evening at Jackie Robinson Stadium, where they will face UC Santa Barbara (3-0). UCLA freshman left-hander Rob Rasmussen will make his collegiate debut as the starting pitcher and will face UC Santa Barbara senior right-hander Michael Martin. Game time is slated for 6 p.m.
