No. 2 Stanford To Start Pac-10 Championships Wednesday

No. 2 Stanford will compete in the Pac-10 Swimming and Diving Championships this Wednesday-Saturday, February 27- March 1. The meet will be conducted in two different venues, with the swimming taking place at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach, California, while the diving will take place at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington. The swimming meet will begin at 6 pm on Wednesday with the finals of the 200 medley and 800 free relays. Thursday's events include the 500 free, 200IM, 50 free and 200 free relay. The 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, and 400 medley relay are slated for Friday. On the final day of action Saturday, the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly and 400 free relay will be contested. Prelims begin each of the final three days at 11 am, PT, with finals sessions scheduled to begin at 6 pm, PT. The swimmers will also have one final chance to qualify for the 2008 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the Pac-10 Invite scheduled to also take place at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool on Sunday, March 2.
