Ten Sun Devil Swimmers Qualify for Tonight's Finals

Two Sun Devil swimmers qualified for tonight's championship final and eight others will be swimming in consolation finals after a successful day four preliminary trials at the Women's Swimming Pac-10 Championships. Caitlin Andrew recorded the morning's third fastest 100 free time to qualify and Ashton Aubry swam her way into the 200 fly championship final.
Aubry swam ASU's second all-time fastest 200 fly. The sophomore clocked in a time of 1:59.40 to improve her status on ASU's top ten list from three to two. Her time is also an NCAA consideration time. Jamie Martinez qualified for tonight's 'A' consolation final in the 200 fly after coming in at 2:00.74. Her time is also under the NCAA 'B' cut. Ellis Schieman will compete in tonight's 'B' consolation final.
With a time of 48.89, Andrew earned ASU's fastest 100 free time of the year. The senior's time was under the NCAA 'A' cut and automatically qualifies her for the NCAA Championships. Jen Beckberger clocked in an NCAA consideration time of 49.51 in the 100 free to qualify for tonight's 'A' consolation final. Lindsey Brown and Jess Perazzo each clocked in NCAA 'B' cut times and will compete in the 'B' consolation final tonight.
Lindsey Russenberger finished in 2:17.86 in the 200 breast. Her time was good enough to qualify her for the 'B' consolation final. Rikka Brunner will compete in tonight's 200 back 'A' consolation final after swimming a 2:00.91 in the event. Her time is now ASU's 10th fastest all-time. Frankie Judy will compete in tonight's 'B' consolation final in the 200 back after clocking in a time of 2:02.76.
