Down to the final week of league play and UCLA and STANFORD will battle for the Pac-10 title and top seed in the Pacific Life Pac-10 Tournament. All but one seed is up for grabs for the league's postseason tournament... Home teams hold a slight edge with a 41-40 record... By the turnstile count, Pac-10 basketball fans have attended in record numbers. This year's average attendance in the Pac-10 is 8,822 fans. That's well above the Pac-10's season-best average of 8,388 fans per game that attended during the 2000 season... This week's Top 25 polls include UCLA (No. 3 AP/No. 2 ESPN/USA Today), Stanford (7/7), WASHINGTON STATE (23/22).
Freshman G Jerryd Bayless pushed his season scoring total to 509 points. Former Wildcat Coniel Norman (576 pts, 1973) is the only other Wildcat freshman to score more than 500 points in a season.
Sophomore F Chase Budinger needs 16 points to reach 1,000 career points.
Sophomore F Jordan Hill has scored in double figures in each of the last four games. During that span of games, he's shooting 25-of-40 (.625) from the field and averaging 14.8 points per game.
Arizona will post less than 10 wins in Pac-10 play for the first time since the 1983-84 season - a string of 23 seasons.
Junior F Jeff Pendergraph became the 30th player in Sun Devil history to reach 1,000 points in a career when he scored 21 points in the win over USC. With 622 career rebounds, he needs 35 rebounds to move into the school's all-time top 10 list.
ASU hit 34-of-39 (.872) free throws in the win over USC. The 34 free throws made were the seventh most in a game in school history.
ASU's 8-8 league record is a six-win improvement over last year's 2-16 league mark and is currently the second best in school history. The 1980 squad went 15-3 after posting a 7-11 record the previous season.
Senior F Eric Vierneisel punctuated his final regular season home game in Haas Pavilion with a career-high 20 points, including 5-of-5 shooting from three-point range, and a career-best seven rebounds.
Senior C DeVon Hardin posted his fourth double-double of the season with 18 points/13 rebounds against Washington. He pulled down 23 rebounds over the weekend to push his career total to 617 - good for 15th on the Cal career list.
Sophomore F Ryan Anderson needs 20 points to become the sixth player in school history to score 600 or more points in a season.
Senior F Maarty Leunen has hit 13-of-16 (.813) from three-point range over the last three games. He's now shooting a Pac-10 leading 55-of-104 (.529) from beyond the arc for the season.
Coach Ernie Kent needs one more victory to reach 300 for his career.
Freshman G LeKendric Longmire posted a career-high 14 points, shooting 6-of-6 from the field in the win over Oregon State.
The Ducks have four players ranked among the league's top 15 in scoring - No. 8 Malik Hairston (16.0 ppg), No. 9 Leunen (15.7 ppg), No. 14 Bryce Taylor (13.4 ppg), No. 15 Tajuan Porter (13.3 ppg).
Senior F Marcel Jones recorded his second double-double of the season with 17 pts/12 rebounds in the loss to Oregon. With 576 career rebounds, Jones needs 17 rebounds to move into the school's career top 10 list.
The Beavers have used 16 different starting lineups this season.
The Beavers look to snap a 16-game conference losing streak. It's the longest winless streak to open Pac-10 play since the league expanded to 18 teams in 1978-79. OSU has dropped 18 consecutive league games. UCLA holds the longest streak of consecutive league losses at 30 from 1937-40.
Sophomore C Robin Lopez has scored in double figures in each of the last five games, averaging 12.4 points and 5.8 rebounds over that stretch of games.
Junior G Mitch Johnson leads the Pac-10 with 4.75 assists per game. The only other Stanford players ever to lead the league in assists was Marcus Lollie (1992) and Brevin Knight (1996 and 1997)
The Cardinal finished their home slate with a 16-1 record. The highest single-season home win total in school history. Stanford has produced 10 or more home wins in each of the last 15 seasons. The Cardinal are 63-11 (.851) at Maples Pavilion over the last five seasons.
UCLA has posted 25 or more wins in three consecutive season. The last time UCLA had three consecutive 25-win seasons was from 1967-76 when it actually put together 10 straight seasons with 25 or more wins.
Junior G Darren Collison needs 13 points to reach 1,000 points for his career.
Freshman C Kevin Love posted a pair of double-doubles in the road sweep of the Arizona schools. He averaged 21.0 points/13.5 rebounds in the victories. He's recorded a double-double in 11 of the last 13 games.
Love has grabbed 323 rebounds this season. That's more than any Bruin since Bill Walton had 398 in 1974.
Freshman G O.J. Mayo is shooting 19-of-28 (.679) from three-point range over the last four games His 76 treys also ranks sixth on USC's all-time single-season list.
Mayo scored a career-high 37 points at Arizona State. His 579 points this season are a USC freshman single-season record, passing former Trojan Harold Miner who scored 578 points in 1990. His season point total ranks ninth all-time on USC's single-season list.
Mayo needs 21 points to become the seventh player in school history to score 600 or more points in a season.
Junior F Jon Brockman has collected a double-double in 17 of the last 21 games.
Brockman has pulled down 347 rebounds this season. That's more than any Husky since Steve Hawes collected 365 boards during the 1972 season. Hawes set the school single-season mark with 386 rebounds in 1971.
Senior G Ryan Appleby owns the Washington career record with 222 three-pointers.
Sophomore C Joe Wolfinger was a perfect 6-of-6 from the field, including 4-of-4 from three-point range for a career-high 17 points in the win at California.
The Cougars have drawn 109,453 fans (9,121 per game). It's the second consecutive season over 100,000 fans, and third time in school history. With one home game left against Washington, the Cougars will surely pass the single-season attendance mark for both total attendance (110,206).

The Cougars lead the league in turnover margin (+3.03) and post a league-low 10.2 turnovers. The Cougars have turned the ball over 10 or fewer times in 13 of 17 league games.
