This week we are enjoying the start to our spring break in sunny Los Angeles. Tonight we play San Diego State to kick off the Judy Garman Classic hosted by Cal State Fullerton. This tournament is always fun because there are a lot of ranked teams playing each other. Plus we have some Californians on the team happy to get a chance to play in front of their friends and family.
Today we don't play until 8:00pm tonight which is kind of an odd game time for us. This morning we went to the batting cages to get a little work in. Afterwards, we went to the fields to catch some games and check out some of the other teams we are going to be playing later in the weekend.
For lunch we were able to stop by Morgan Stuart's Aunt's house where we had some awesome authentic Mexican food made by a hired taco-making man. They had an awesome back yard where we got to sit out on the patio and enjoy the food and weather. Randomly the cook making the tacos helps out with the Anaheim Angels baseball team. He was working with them when they won the World Series in 2002 so he had a championship ring that he let us all try on which was quite impressive.
Overall our schedule for the rest of the tournament is going to be challenging but a great chance for our team to get some wins against some more ranked opponents. Aside from San Diego State we will also be playing Depaul, Florida State, Long Beach State, and Utah. Hopefully you can listen on GoHuskies.com or follow along on Gametracker. Have a Happy Easter and Go Dawgs!
