The Aztecs got on the board with a 1-0 first inning lead, as Colwell scored from second on a single to left field by Green.
UCLA took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth inning. With two outs, catcher Ryan Babineau laced a high-bouncing ball through the middle, scoring Cohen from third base.
San Diego State responded on the first pitch in the fourth, as Vaughn belted a solo home run over the left field fence, tying the contest, 2-2.
