Lindsey Pluimer To Participate In WNBA Pre-Draft Camp

UCLA senior forward Lindsey Pluimer (San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente HS) will participate in the 2008 WNBA Pre-Draft Camp at the University of Tampa's Bob Martinez Sports Center on Apr. 4-5. Pluimer and other pro prospects will showcase their skills and compete against one another in drills and scrimmages in front of coaches and general managers from all 14 WNBA teams just days before the 2008 WNBA Draft, which takes place Apr. 9.
Pluimer finished her career as one of UCLA's top performers, recording numbers of 1,556 points, 737 rebounds, 93 blocked shots and 84 three-pointers. In her senior season, she earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors and was named the Pac-10 Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She led UCLA in scoring (14.1 ppg), rebounding (6.5 rpg), blocked shots (33), three-point shooting (.385) and free throw shooting (.835) in 2007-08 and finished the year ranked amongst the Pac-10 leaders in seven categories. Pluimer started in all 123 games of her UCLA career, becoming the first Bruin in the NCAA era to do so.

The 2008 WNBA Draft presented by adidas will begin at 1 pm ET on Apr. 9 at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Fla. The first round will be televised by ESPN2, with second and third rounds being covered by ESPNU and NBA TV.
