No. 4 UCLA Routs No. 25 Stanford, 6-1

LOS ANGELES - The fourth-ranked UCLA men's tennis team extended its winning streak to 11 on Saturday, taking a 6-1 victory over No. 25 Stanford in a Pac-10 showdown at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. The Bruins, whose last loss came back on Feb. 16, improve to 17-1 overall and 4-0 in the Pac-10. The Cardinal fall to 8-8 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
For the 16th time in 18 matches this season UCLA was able to win the doubles points, sweeping matches on all three courts. The Bruins' No. 3 team of Michael Look and Jeremy Drean kept its winning streak alive Saturday, making it 16 in a row following an 8-5 victory over Greg Hirshman/Richard Wire.
Senior Mathieu Dehaine (court No. 2) and freshman Nick Meister (court No. 6) gave the UCLA a 3-0 lead, as both players cruised to straight set wins in their respective singles matches. Dehaine, ranked No. 23 nationally, defeated No. 67 Matt Bruch, 6-2, 6-2, while Meister was a 6-4, 6-2 winner over Phil Kao.
Drean followed up his big doubles win by clinching the victory for UCLA at court No. 5, battling back from a set down to defeat Hirshman, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
UCLA's top player, Harel Srugo, pulled off a huge upset at court No. 1, as he defeated second-ranked Alex Clayton, 4-6, 7-6(6), 6-4.
The other singles winner for the Bruins on Saturday was freshman Holden Seguso, who downed Blake Muller, 6-3, 6-7(7), (10-7) at court No. 3.
UCLA hits the road next week, taking on Arizona on Friday and No. 22 Arizona State on Saturday.
