No. 41 WSU Set to Host Portland State and Montana State

Pullman, Wash. - The Washington State University tennis team (13-9 overall, 1-6 Pac-10), ranked No. 41 (ITA) nationally, will host a double header against Montana State and Portland State April 12th, at the Simmelink Tennis Courts at Hollingbery Fieldhouse.
Series with Montana State - Washington State holds a 12-0 all-time advantage against Montana State...the last time the two squads met, March 24, 2006, the Cougars cruised past the Bobcats, 7-0, in Pullman...under head coach Lisa Hart the Cougars are a perfect 2-0 against the Bobcats.
Series with Portland State - The Cougars are a perfect 4-0 against the Vikings...this is the first time Washington State and Portland State have met since the 1980-81 season when the Cougars down the Vikings, 9-0...the Vikings squad is composed of all freshman, playing in the women's tennis programs first competitive season in four years.
Last Week - WSU hosted three matches against Arizona State, Arizona and Santa Clara over the weekend...in the first match against ASU, the Cougars fell 5-2...the doubles tandem of Ekaterina Burduli and Ekaterina Kamendova upset the Sun Devils No. 28 team of Nadia Abdala and Laila Abdala, 8-5...in the second match of the weekend, WSU rolled past Arizona 5-2 behind the strong play of Aleksandra Stefanova who defeated Claire Rietsch, 6-2, 6-3 at No.2...the Cougars cruised past Santa Clara in the final match of the weekend posting a 6-0 victory.
Cougar's Best - Senior Ekaterina Burduli has passed former WSU great Erica Perkins for first all-time on the WSU career wins list with 88 victories...Burduli earned the top spot with a straight set, 6-0, 6-0 victory over Santa Clara's Stephanie Galainena...with the win, she improves to 25-9 on the season and 14-6 in dual match play.
Hart posts No. 100 - Washington State head coach Lisa Hart earned her 100th career victory Sunday, when the Cougars downed Santa Clara...55 of those wins have come at WSU since she took over the program back in 2004.
Rankings -WSU holds a current ranking of No. 41 according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association...senior Ekaterina Burduli has earned a No. 55 ranking according to ITA.
