Last Time Out:
Last weekend saw the Sun Devils hit the road to continue their Pac-10 season as they took on the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers in the Pacific Northwest.
In their match-up against the Oregon Ducks, the Sun Devils jumped ahead of the Ducks plating two before Oregon stormed back to take two from ASU to tie it. Knotted at two apiece going into the seventh, Kaitlin Cochran decided to make the difference as she cracked a solo shot over leftfi eld to take the lead as Katie Burkhart cruised it home for the win.
Against the Oregon State Beavers, the Sun Devils were able to get four innings in on Satuday before rain stopped play with ASU leading 1-0. As the game resumed on Sunday, the Beavers came back to take advantage of a Sun Devil error and plate two to take the lead. It seemed to be the end of the streak for ASU when an OSU error in the seventh tied the game and gave ASU new life as they battled through the duration to take the win 3-2 in 12 innings.
The last game of the weekend, ASU jumped ahead of OSU, putting three runs on the board in thefi rst and another in second. OSU came back to cut the lead in hald 4-2 before ASU rocketed two more on the board, as well as OSU to place the score at 6-4 with the Sun Devils leading going into the seventh inning where the game was halted due to Pac-10 travel rules. The game will be fi nished on April 25 when OSU travels to Tempe for a 7 p.m. game.
