NCAA Tennis Selection Show To Air On Tuesday, April 29 At 11 a.m. On ESPNEWS

STANFORD, Calif. - The 2008 NCAA Tennis Selection Show will air on Tuesday, April 29 at 11 a.m. PT on ESPNEWS. The No. 22 Stanford men's team and the No. 2 women's team will learn from the show when and where they will play their next match.
The Stanford women enter the postseason with a 19-4 overall record. The Cardinal finished 7-1 in Pac-10 play, earning a share of the regular season championship with UCLA and extending the program's streak of 21 consecutive league titles. Stanford, which has claimed five of the last seven NCAA team titles, has also won 13 of its last 14 matches. All six players in the Cardinal's singles lineup are nationally-ranked, and the top doubles team of Hilary Barte and Lindsay Burdette check in at No. 9.
The Stanford men went 12-8 on the year and 5-2 in Pac-10 play, earning third place in the conference. The men last won a NCAA Championship in 2000, their 17th. The Cardinal are currently on a four-match win streak and tout three ranked singles players in No. 7 Alex Clayton, No. 80 Matt Bruch, and No. 112 Richard Wire.
NCAA Tournament first and second round competition is scheduled for May 9-10 at select campus sites. The final 16 teams advance to Tulsa, Okla., the following week for the NCAA Championships.
