WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Pacific-10 Conference outdoor track and field athlete of the week honors for the week of April 28-May 4:

Men's Track Athlete of the Week: KEVIN CRADDOCK, UCLA (Jr., Richmond, Calif.). Craddock won the high hurdles, posting the No. 1 non-wind-aided mark in the country and the No. 2 overall time with his win in the high hurdles against USC. Craddock ran a lifetime-best of 13.46 and moved into a tie for No. 2 all-time at UCLA. It was just the second high hurdles race of the season for Craddock.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week: MATT TURNER, ARIZONA STATE (Sr., Pomona, Calif.). Turner won two events, taking the long jump and triple jump, while also placing second in the high jump at the Double Dual with Arizona and Northern Arizona. Turner improved his career outdoor best to 26-1.50 (7.96m) to move into fifth on the all-time ASU lists and into third on the current NCAA list. He then competed in the triple jump for the first time this season, hitting a personal-best mark of 51-5.00 (15.67m) to win his second event. He cleared 6-8.75 (2.05m) in the high jump.

Women's Track Athlete of the Week: CAROL RODRIGUEZ, USC (Sr., Anaheim Hills, Calif.). Rodriguez led USC to a Dual Meet victory over UCLA by winning the 400m, placing second in the 200m and running the lead-changingthird leg in the 4x400m relay as USC snapped a 15-year losing streak to the Bruins. Rodriguez's time of 51.39 in the 400m race bettered her school and Puerto Rican National record and is the top collegiate time this season. Despite a sore hamstring and groin she was able to place second in the 200m with a time of 23.35.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week: JESSICA PRESSLEY, ARIZONA STATE (Sr., Elk Grove, Calif.). Pressley posted three victories in three events in the Double Dual, winning the shot put, discus and hammer. She opened with a toss of 224-01 (68.31m) to win the hammer and set a school record. Her toss also is the second-best in the history of the Pac-10 and currently ranks second in the nation. She added a win in the discus with a mark of 177-11 (54.24m) before taking the shot put in 57-9.75 (17.62m), which currently stands as the top collegiate mark this year.
