WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - WASHINGTON redshirt sophomore outfielder Kyle Conley has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Baseball Player of the Week and UCLA's junior right-handed pitcher Jason Novak has been named Pitcher of the Week for April 28 - May 4, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Conley, from Richland, Wash., helped lead Washington to a three-game sweep of USC in Los Angeles. Conley went 8-for-10 with three doubles, a triple, two homers and nine runs batted in. He also walked twice and was hit by a pitch and had a sacrifice fly. He slugged 1.900 and had an on-base percentage of .786. Friday, he was 4-for-4 with two doubles and a triple. Saturday, he hit two home runs. Sunday, he had two more hits and four RBI as the Huskies swept the Trojans in L.A. for the first time ever.

Novak, from Agoura, Calif., had a steady week in relief, limiting the opposition to four hits through seven scoreless innings in three appearances. Novak limited Loyola Marymount to one hit in 3.2 scoreless innings of relief on Wednesday to earn the victory, as the Bruins held on to defeat Loyola Marymount, 6-2. Novak recorded three strikeouts and issued two walks in that victory. In UCLA's 8-3 win over No. 4 Arizona State on Saturday, Novak recorded one strike out and one walk in relief. The following afternoon, Novak shut down the visiting Sun Devils through three scoreless innings. In that relief appearance, Novak scattered three hits, striking out three hitters without issuing one walk.
