Farah And Van't Hof Slam Into NCAA Semifinals

May 24, 2008

TULSA, OKLA. - Up against the home team in the NCAA Doubles Quarterfinals on Saturday, USC's streaking doubles pair, Robert Farah and Kaes Van't Hof, notched a decisive 6-3, 6-3 win to move into tomorrow's semifinals. Farah/Van't Hof now carry a 24-match win streak as the second-seeded Trojans set up for Mississippi's Ten Berge/Willerman for a 3:30 p.m. CT semifinal on Sunday (May 25) at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.

To secure that semifinal slot, Farah/Van't Hof had to get past host Tulsa's own team of Connelly/Cunningham in Saturday's quarterfinals. The Trojans took care of business, making sure to avoid a three-set marathon like they had fought through the previous day in the Round of 16. Farah/Van't Hof got up a break in both sets and rolled on to claim a 6-3, 6-3 win over the Tulsa pair. Now holding a 24-match win streak and a 37-3 overall doubles record together, the Trojans take on Ten Berge/Willerman for the right move into the NCAA championships match on Monday.
