Six Swimmers Named to All-Academic Team

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The University of Arizona men's and women's swim team had a total of six swimmers selected to the all academic team today. To be eligible for selection to the team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

The women's team had four of the six swimmers selected for the team, three of which were first team. The three first team members include: Sophomore Ana Agy (3.90 GPA, Pre-Business major), senior Lacey Nymeyer (3.85 GPA, Physical Education major) and sophomore Justine Schluntz (3.92 GPA, Mechanical Engineering major). The second team member was Allison Scaife (3.60 GPA, Agricultural Technology Management major). UA also had many swimmers receive honorable mentions.

The men's team had one first team member and one second team member. The first team member was sophomore Jack Brown (3.72 GPA, Psychology major). The second team member was sophomore Bryan O'Connor (3.52 GPA, Pre-Business major).
