Two Sun Devils Selected In First Round Of 2008 MLB Draft

TEMPE, Ariz. - Two Arizona State Sun Devils were selected in the first round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft, held this afternoon in Orlando, Florida. Brett Wallace went 13th overall to the St. Louis Cardinals, while Ike Davis was the 18th overall selection by the New York Mets.

Wallace and Davis are the sixth set of Sun Devil teammates to be picked in the First Round of the draft, and the first since Ryan Bradley and Dan McKinley in 1997.

The Draft continues this afternoon and tomorrow.
