Conlon And Hayes Named To Pocock Racing Shells CRCA All-American Team

June 11, 2008

STANFORD, Calif. - The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association, along with Pocock Racing Shells, has selected sophomore Erin Conlon and senior Kate Hayes to their 2008 Lightweight All-American Team.

The two ports, Conlon, out of Princeton, N.J., and Hayes, from Washington D.C., helped the lightweight varsity eight boat to its best season ever, winning the San Diego Crew Classic, Knecht Cup, Pacific Coast Championships, and finishing third at the IRA Regatta last weekend. Hayes is one of only four rowers ever to be a member of the varsity eight for four years.

'Erin and Kate consistently push themselves really hard on the water,' commented Head Coach Al Acosta. 'They're a big reason for the success we've had this year. I'm thrilled they're getting some recognition.'
