Friberg Tied For 16th At U.S. Women's Open

Edina, Minn. - Former Husky Louise Friberg is currently tied for 16th after playing 17 holes of the weather-delayed second round of the U.S. Women's Open at Interlachen Country Club in Edina, Minnesota, Friday.
Friberg, a rookie on the LPGA Tour, is 2-under par overall after carding a 4-under 69 in the first round, Thursday, and a 2-over par heading into her final second-round hole. Friberg carded one birdie and three bogies on the front nine, before sinking pars on eight holes on the back nine.
Tournament play was initially delayed in the afternoon due to rain and then was ultimately halted due to darkness in the evening. With 36 players left to complete as many as five holes in the second round, Friberg is projected to make the cut which stands at 4-over par.
Friberg is four shots behind leader Angela Park who is 6-under 140.
