Top seeds Bob and Mike Bryan stayed on course for their first Olympic Games medal with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Australian duo Chris Guccione and Lleyton Hewitt on Thursday in Beijing.The Americans recovered from a 1-4 deficit in the first set to convert four of six break points and secure the quarterfinal victory in 52 minutes.Guccione/Hewitt had worked hard for their place in the quarterfinals, coming through the first round 4-6 7-6(4) 18-16 against Agustin Calleri and Juan Monaco before knocking out sixth-seeded Spaniards Rafael Nadal and Tommy Robredo.The 30-year-old Bryan twins are enjoying their best performance at the Olympic Games, having made a quarterfinal exit in Athens 2004 (l. to eventual gold medalists F.
