Wildcat Classic Concludes First Day
In the second game of the day, San Jose State beat Gardner-Webb 3-0 during the Wildcat Classic at McKale Center.
The Spartans won the first set 25-13, the second set 25-14 and the final set 28-26.
Offensively, the Spartans were led by Kelly Crow with 13 kills and a .249 hitting percentage. She was 13-for-28 with one error. Crow was second on the team with seven digs. Niki Clement led the team with nine digs. As a team, the Spartans had eight hitting errors, six service errors and one blocking error.
Offensively, the Bulldogs were led by Laura Wilcox with nine kills and .471 hitting percentage. She was 9-for-17 with one error. Wilcox also registered four digs. Katie Matykowski led the team with 11 digs. As a team, the Bulldogs had 16 hitting errors, six service errors and two blocking errors.
Weber State get by Gardner-Webb in three games
Tucson- The Weber State women's volleyball team beat Gardner-Webb 3-0 in game three of the Wildcat Classic Friday night at McKale Center in Tucson.
The Wildcats had 36 kills in the match and had a team hitting percentage of .364. The team was led by Brittney Bisaillon who recored 11 kills in the match. After losing the day's first match to host Arizona, the Wildcats pulled to 1-1 with the win.
Garner-Webb countered with 24 kills of its own and had a team hitting percentage of .058. The Bull dogs dropped their second match of the day and fell to 0-2 after losing to San Jose State in the tournament's second game.
