Texas State Tops Texas Tech Three Games to None

TUCSON - The Texas State women's volleyball team defeated the Texas Tech Red Raiders today in match three of the Arizona Invitational by the score of three games to none at McKale Center.

Texas State was dominant early as they took the first game, 25-22. The Bobcats then proceeded to win the next two games and the match overall.

Texas State improved to 4-3 on the early season. The Bobcats were paced by Jessica Weynand, who had 10 kills, and Whitney Rhoden who added eight kills.

The Red Raiders dropped to 3-2. Tomorrow they will face Arizona, who dropped its first match of the year against Santa Clara, 3-1.

Texas State will play Santa Clara tomorrow to lead off play. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. Then Arizona meets Texas Tech at 12:30 p.m.
