Sept. 22, 2008
BERKELEY - The California football game against Arizona State on Saturday, Oct. 4 has been selected for broadcast by ABC and will kick off at 12:30 p.m. from Memorial Stadium, the Pac-10 Conference announced Monday. It is the seventh Cal game this season selected to be televised with further selections expected.
Tickets are available for all remaining Golden Bear home games, including this Saturday's game against Colorado State and next week's Arizona State contest, by visiting CalBears.com or by calling (800) GO BEARS. The Colorado State game will be televised by Comcast SportsNet West (CSN-West) at 3 p.m.
CSN-West is available on basic cable throughout most of northern California, but only on digital cable in the Bay Area. However, for this and all Cal live telecasts, the feed will be available to Comcast subscribers on cable Ch. 99 for those who have Comcast's Standard Cable Package and a cable box. It will NOT be available with basic cable or without a cable box. Click here for a channel directory for Comcast in northern California.
In the first six years of head coach Jeff Tedford's tenure, 60 Cal football games have been televised; in the five years prior to that, just 35 Cal games were televised. National television broadcasts have more than doubled in that time.
