Cross Country Ready To Race At Stanford Invitational On Saturday

Seven women and five men will head to Palo Alto on Saturday for the Stanford Invitational, the first big meet of the season for cross country across the nation. The men's 8k race will begin at 10:30 am, with the women's 6k race to follow at 11:00 am on the Stanford Golf Course.
The women's team won the Big Wave Invitational in Honolulu, HI last weekend and was second at the UC Irvine Invite to start off the year. The men's squad has one both the Big Wave and UC Irvine Invitationals this season.
Leading the way for the women this Saturday is freshman Katja Goldring, UCLA's No. 1 runner this season. Also competing are fellow freshmen Shelby Buckley, Sadee Martinez, Taryn Pastoor and Alison Gushue, along with sophomores Kelcie Wiemann and Shannon Murakami. The men's team will send freshmen Cory Primm and David McDonald, sophomores Scott Crawford and Blake Ramos, and junior Ryan Gordon.
