Men's Golf Finishes Seventh at Tucker Invitational

TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona men's golf team finished in seventh place Saturday at the William H. Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M.
Arizona posted a final-round tally of 302 en route to a three-round total of 895 (+31). The Wildcats finished seventh in the 16 team field. UNLV topped the field by 11 strokes with a 12-under 852 total.
Junior Brad Nicholson led the Wildcats by finishing in a tie for 26th place. Playing in his first event as a Wildcat after transferring from Brigham Young, Nicholson shot a final-round 75 to post a seven-over 223 total. He finished three strokes ahead of the rest of his teammates, as the remaining four members of the UA lineup tied for 37th place at 10-over 226
Three Wildcats also competed in the event as individuals. Nicholas Park tied for 37th place at 10-over 226. Andrew Kelly tied for 67the place at 16-over 232, while John Kostis finished 83rd at 23-over 239.
The William H. Tucker Invitational was contested at the UNM Championship course, a par-72, 7,403-yard layout.
The Wildcats will next be in action at the Wolf Pack Classic, Oct. 6-7, in Reno, Nev.
