Men's Cross Country Heads To Oregon For Bill Dellinger Invitational

Eric Peterson and the men's cross country team will travel north to Eugene, OR on Saturday to compete at the Bill Dellinger Invitational. The meet is the first big test for a solid men's squad which is looking to return to the NCAA Championships in November.
The men's team ranks sixth in the West Region (according to the USTFCCCA rankings), and also received votes in the national poll, but will look to enter the top-30 after this weekend's meet.
Competing this weekend will be - seniors Laef Barnes, Mike Haddan and Drew Shackleton; juniors Marlon Patterson, Alex Crabill and Marco Anzures; sophomores Kent Morikawa, Jun Reichl and Kevin Sullivan; and freshman David McDonald.
The men have captured team titles at the UC Irvine and Big Wave Invitationals this season. In Oregon, the men's race will feature the defending national champion Oregon Ducks, along with four other squads ranked among the nation's top 25 (No. 5 Alabama, No. 7 Portland, No. 17 Texas-El Paso and No. 23 Cal Poly), in addition to solid teams from Colorado State, Penn State, UCLA and Weber State. The race will begin at 11:15 am.
