Cardinal Begin Season At D'Novo ITA All-American Championships

STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford men's tennis team will begin its 2008-09 campaign this Monday, Oct. 6, as sophomore Alex Clayton, junior Richard Wire, and freshman Bradley Klahn are set to compete in the week-long 2008 D'Novo ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
No. 66 Wire and Klahn will open the action for the Cardinal in the qualifying singles bracket, and the two will also compete as a pair in the qualifying doubles selection that commences on Tuesday. Fourth-ranked Clayton, an All-American last season, will start on Thursday in the main draw of the singles bracket.
Specific match-ups in the draws are not yet finalized, but will be posted on the ITA's website once they are available. Fans that are unable to make the journey to Tulsa can watch a live feed and monitor real-time stats here.
