Goldring Leads Women's Cross Country At Pre-NCAA Invitational

Freshman Katja Goldring was once again UCLA's No. 1 runner as the Bruins placed 25th at the Pre-NCAA Invitational in Terre Haute, IN on Saturday. Goldring was 50th overall with a time of 21:22. Florida State and Princeton tied for the team title with 89 points.
The Bruins ran just one upper-classmen as four freshmen, two sophomores and one senior competed at the meet.
Freshman Shelby Buckley was the No. 2 runner for UCLA, running 21:46 for 87th overall. Sophomore Shannon Murakami was 148th (22:19), senior Lauren Jirges was 151st (22:22) and sophomore Kelcie Wiemann was 164th (22:30) to round out the Bruins' top five runners.
The Bruins will take next weekend off in preparation for the Pac-10 Championships, which will be held October 31st in Eugene, OR.
