UCLA Goalkeeper Brian Perk Named Pac-10 Men's soccer Player Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- UCLA junior goalkeeper Brian Perk has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 14 - 20, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Perk totaled nine saves in 174 minutes of action over the weekend as he earned a shutout against Washington in a 2-0 UCLA win Friday. He also held Oregon State scoreless for 84 minutes before being subbed out late in a 3-0 victory for the Bruins.
The Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., native helped the Bruins, who are unbeaten in eight of their last nine games, move into a tie for first place in the Pac-10 with 10 points and a 3-1-1 record. Perk lowered his goals against average to 1.34 and has collected 47 saves on the year.
This is the second weekly honor for Perk and the 33rd all-time for UCLA.
