Bruins Fall into a Tie for 14th at UCF Collegiate

The UCLA men's golf team fell into a tie for 14th place following the second round of play at the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational on Monday.
The Bruins posted a second round score of 301 (+13) and were tied with Charlotte at 600 (+24). Georgia blistered the 7,491-yard Isleworth Country Club in 11-under par 277 to take the 36-hole lead at 571 (-5). Indiana remained in second place at 574 (-2), followed by Alabama at 578 (+2). USC was fourth at 579 (+3) and Texas Tech was fifth at 586 (+10).
Individually for the Bruins, freshman Gregor Main posted the team's best score, a two-under par 70, which vaulted him into a tie for eighth place at one-under par 143. Main climbed 10 spots on the leaderboard after making two birdies and 16 pars in his round. Sophomore Philip Francis carded an even par 72 on Monday and was tied for 15th place, an improvement of three spots from the first round. Freshmen Alex Kim fell into a tie for 63rd at 153 (+9) after posting a 78 (+6) and senior Erik Flores was tied for 85th at 159 (+15) after posting an 81 (+9). Sophomore Connor Driscoll was in 90th place at 173 (+29) after carding a score of 87 (+15).
Georgia's Russell Henley fired a 67 (-5) in the second round and took the 36-hole lead at 138 (-6).
