Alvarez Shoots 66 To Move Into Second

BOULDER CREEK, Nevada -- Behind strong all-around play, the Huskies moved from fifth to third place, shooting a collective 7-under par at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown on Tuesday.
Once again leading the Dawgs was sophomore Anya Alvarez, who was 6-under (66) on the day, moving her into second place with a two-day score of 10-under (138). Alvarez is tied with Therese Koelbaek of UNLV for second place, while Lisa McCloskey is in the lead at 12 under.
Another Husky posting an impressive score was Molly Aronsson at 2-under (70), pulling her into a tie for 18th at 1-under after two days. The other Huskies finished as follows: Karinn Dickinson 72 (E), Christina Yoon (+1) and Molly Boyle (+4).
