AROUND THE LEAGUE

CALIFORNIA (7-2-4)
Head coach Kevin Grimes picked up his 100th career-win in Cal's 1-0 overtime victory Oct. 18 over rival Stanford. SO MF Servando Carrasco netted the game-winning goal for the Golden Bears in the second minute of the extra period. After a week off, Cal heads to southern California to face Confernce leader UCLA on Friday and San Diego State on Sunday.

OREGON STATE (5-8-3)
Oregon State defeated San Diego State, 1-0, in overtime Friday. SO D Chris Miller headed in the game-winner in the 96th minute of play, marking his first goal of the season. SR F Josh Cameron was credited with the assist, his fourth on the year. On Sunday against UCLA, JR GK Mike Miller collected seven saves in the 1-0 loss.

SAN DIEGO STATE (3-8-3)
San Diego State traveled to Oregon State Friday. The Aztecs held the Beavers scoreless through regulation before surrendering the game-winning goal in the first overtime period. SDSU battled back Sunday at Washington as the match ended in a 2-2 draw. RS-JR D/MF Jamel Wallace and SO MF Reymundo Reza both netted goals for the Aztecs.

STANFORD (3-8-2)
Stanford played its final non-conference match of the season Friday as they traveled to New Mexico. The Cardinal took an early 1-0 lead in the first half when SR MF Tom Montgomery fired a shot from the top of the box. It marked the third goal of the season for Montgomery, tying him for the team lead with SO MF/F Bobby Warshaw. The Lobos came back to defeat the Cardinal 2-1.

UCLA (7-4-5)
The Bruins gained sole possesion of first place as they increased their win streak to four games, all coming via shutout. With the 2-0 victory at Washington and the 1-0 shutout at Oregon State, UCLA is unbeaten in 10 of its last 11 contests. SR D Brad Rusin was selected to the National Team of the Week by Soccer America, College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer for his efforts over the weekend. His game-winning goal against the Beavers was his third goal of the season and fourth of his career.

WASHINGTON (8-5-2)
Washington fell to UCLA, 2-0, Friday, despite out shooting the Bruins 16-8. The Huskies came back to tie San Diego State on Sunday as FR F Brent Richards notched his second multiple-goal effort of the season. He leads the Conference in goals (8) and is tied for the lead in points (18). He also has a Pac-10 leading 60 shots, 21 more than the next closest player.
