No. 4 UCLA Men's Basketball Downs Biola, 76-42, in Exhibiton Game

LOS ANGELES - Senior Darren Collison scored a game-high 14 points to lead the No. 4 UCLA men's basketball team past Biola, 76-42, in the Bruins' final exhibition game Friday evening in Pauley Pavilion. Collison connected on 6-of-11 shots, including 1-of-2 three-point baskets.

Junior Michael Roll and freshman Jrue Holiday each added 11 points, and senior Josh Shipp registered 10 for UCLA. Roll nailed 5-of-8 shots, and Holiday shot 3-of-4 from beyond the three-point arc.

UCLA led 38-27 at halftime, closing the final 4:52 of the first half on a 10-2 scoring run.

The Bruins opened the second half with a 12-4 run to secure a 50-31 advantage, capped by an old-fashioned three-point play by Collison at the 12:31 mark. UCLA finished the exhibition contest with a 34-point lead, its largest cushion of the game.

Sophomore Josh Miller led Biola with 12 points and junior Marlon King added 10. Junior Rocky Hampton collected a game-high 14 rebounds for the visiting Eagles.

UCLA outscored Biola off the bench by a 27-2 margin.

UCLA opens its regular season against Prairie View A&M on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in a first-round game of the 2K Sports Classic. Game time is 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.
