Stanford's Barboza Named Pac-10 Volleyball Player Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- STANFORD outside hitter Cynthia Barboza has been named the Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Nov. 10 - 16, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Barboza totaled 13 kills (4.33 kps) and 18 digs (6.00 dps) in a three-set road sweep over No. 7 California Friday. The Long Beach, Calif., native hit .419 in the match, marking the sixth time this season she has hit over .400.
Barboza gave the Cardinal early momentum posting seven kills in the first set. The senior finished with her 11th double-double of the year and led all players in both kills and digs. She also tallied a season-high four blocks, including three solo.
This is the second weekly honor of the season and fourth overall for Barboza and the 67th all-time for Stanford.
