COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Junior Erin Campbell and senior Jon Banker carried the way for the Washington Huskies swim team as they concluded a busy weekend on Sunday at the Art Adamson Invitational at the Student Rec Center Natatorium on the campus of Texas A&M, the site of the 2009 NCAA Championships.

The UW women finished seventh in the team competition with 168 points while the men finished sixth with 173 points despite the team not competing all day on Friday or in the finals on Sunday.

Campbell, who earned NCAA consideration in the 100 back on Saturday, posted her second time worthy of NCAA consideration on Sunday as she finished first in the prelims of the 200 back in a time of 1:57.07. Campbell (Chandler, Ariz.) is the Huskies' all-time record holder in the 200 back, swimming a time of 1:56.37 at the Pac-10 Championships last season.

Campbell also moved into the Husky record books in the 100 free, swimming a time of 51.04, a personal best which also marks the 10th fastest time in school history.

Freshman Hannah Ross (Pocatello, Idaho) also swam well in the 200 back, swimming the 11th-fastest time in the prelims in 2:01.19.

Senior Genevieve Patterson (Vancouver, Wash.) capped a successful weekend by qualifying with the fourth-fastest time in the 200 breast. Patterson, who met the NCAA consideration time in the 100 breast on Saturday, swam a time of 2:19.23.

Jon Banker (Canon City, Colo.) had the highlight of the day on the men's side, swimming the second-fastest time in the field in the 200 back. Banker's time of 1:47.53 was just shy of his career-best time of 1:47.21, which ranks third all time at UW.

Fellow senior Evan Bernier (Woodinville, Wash.) finished not too far behind Banker in the 200 back, qualifying eighth in a time of 1:50.00. Bernier also shined in the 100 free, finishing ninth in the prelims in 44.77.

Other Husky men swimming well on Sunday were sophomore Andre Blyth (Englewood, Colo.), who qualified seventh in the 200 fly in 1:49.09, and junior Erez Fern (Herzelia, Israel), who finished right behind Blyth in ninth in a time of 1:49.85. Senior Yonatan Cohen (Neve-Monoson-Yahud, Israel) qualified 11th in the 200 breast in 2:04.92.

The Huskies will be off for the next two weeks before hosting the Husky Invite at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash., Dec. 4-6.
