Stanford Extends Lead At Art Adamson Invitational

College Station, Texas - Stanford men's swimming completed a second straight day of dominating performances as they added to their big lead at the Art Adamson Invitational on Saturday. The Cardinal have amassed a total of 1,049 points, leading second place LSU who has 543.
Stanford won every event and recorded several NCAA standards including in both relays. In the 800 free relay, the team of Bobby Bollier, Jake Allen, Phillip Morrison and Rob Andrews recoded an NCAA `A' Standard time of 6:21.53. The 200 medley relay team of Eugene Godsoe, John Criste, Austin Staab and Jason Dunford swam a `B' standard time of 1:25.72.
The only individual with a NCAA `A' Standard was Godsoe who won the 100 back with a time of 45.94 seconds.
In the 400 IM four Stanford swimmers earned `B' cuts with Nate Cass leading the way with a time of 3:46.74. Also with `B' cuts were Josh Charnin-Aker (3:47.14), Scott Lathrope (3:51.76) and Eirik Ravnan (3:52.34).
Stanford recorded four more `B' cuts in the 100 fly with Staab winning the event with a time of 46.09. Jason Dunford (46.36), Godsoe (46.99) and Bollier (47.31) also hit the standard.
In the 200 free, Andrews (1:35.70), Morrison (1:35.80) and Allen (1:36.06) each recorded `B' cuts.
The Cardinal will be back in the pool on Sunday for the conclusion of the Art Adamson Invitational. Stanford will look to complete their dominating performance in the pool that will host the NCAA Championships.
