Cardinal Tops Colorado, 76-62

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) -- Josh Owens scored a career-high 21 points to help Stanford beat Colorado 76-62 on Saturday to remain undefeated under first-year coach Johnny Dawkins.
Lawrence Hill added 16 points as the Cardinal (4-0) won their third straight at home. Anthony Goods had 15 points as Stanford beat Colorado for the third consecutive time. Owens matched his career high with 8 rebounds.
Freshman Nate Tomlinson scored 12 of his season-high 18 points in the second half to lead the Buffaloes (3-2), who lost in their first road game of the year. Dwight Thorne also scored 18 points in Colorado's first visit to Stanford in 17 years.
The Buffaloes closed to within seven early in the second half but never got any closer.
Thorne hit a pair of 3-pointers in the final two minutes as Colorado went on a 7-1 run to draw within 42-32 at halftime.
