California's Henninger and USC's Ishimatsu Named Pac-10 Divers Of The Month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- CALIFORNIA sophomore Tom Henninger and USC freshman Tory Ishimatsu have been named Pac-10 Divers of the Month for November, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Henninger turned in solid scores in November for the Golden Bears, including NCAA zone qualifying scores on both the one-meter and three-meter springboards at San Jose State on Nov. 14. The Glenside, Pa., native totaled a 328.80 on the one-meter and a 336.00 on the three-meter to win both events for Cal. At Stanford's Triple-Distance Meet on Nov. 12, Henninger scored a 314.85 on the three-meter to capture first place by .23 of a point. He also placed second on the one-meter with a 267.82.
This marks the first monthly honor for Henninger and the fourth Men's Diver of the Month all-time for California.
Ishimatsu swept her events in the month of November as she has posted six first-place finishes thus far in her Trojan career. In a dual meet with Pac-10 foe Arizona on Nov. 14, Ishimatsu registered a 340.13 on the one-meter springboard and 297.45 on the three-meter to secure both events for the Trojans. Against Arizona State on Nov. 15, the Seal Beach, Calif., native scored a 321.75 on the one-meter and a 311.10 on the three-meter to finish first for USC. Ishimatsu also placed first in both events at the Wildcat Invitational.
This is the first monthly honor for Ishimatsu and the fifth Women's Diver of the Month overall for USC.
