Four Wildcats Named to Pac-10 All-Academic Teams

The Arizona soccer team had four players who were honored on the All-Academic teams Thursday, Pac-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen announced through a press release.


Junior LEILA AMINI earned a first team selection, junior Jacqueline Broussard earned a second team selection and junior Analisa Marquez and sophomore KARINA CAMACHO both earned honorable mention.


Amini earned a 3.90 GPA, while majoring in Molecular & Cellular Biology.  For Amini this is her second time she has made an All-Academic team. Amini earned a Second Team selection from District 8 according to ESPN The Magazine.


For the season, Amini started in all 20 games. She registered two goals and two assists for a total of six points.


Broussard earned a3.69 GPA, while majoring in Psychology. Broussard started 13 of the 20 games she played in. She tallied two goals and two assists for a total of six points.


Marquez started in all 19 games she played in. She scored one goal for two points and played an integral part in the defense.


Camacho started in all 20 games. Camacho was tied for the team leader in goals with five, tied for the team lead in assists with three and was the team leader in points overall with 13 points.


To be named to the All-Academic team a student-athlete must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher and be either a starter or significant contributor.
