Huskies Rout Cowboys, 83-65
Dec. 4, 2008
SEATTLE (AP) -- Freshman Isaiah Thomas scored 18 points and rugged Jon Brockman pounded Oklahoma State inside with 16 points and 11 rebounds as Washington beat the slumping Cowboys 83-65 on Thursday night.
Brockman got his fourth double-double in seven games this season for the inconsistent Huskies (4-3), who had their most impressive showing of the young season in their only remaining test before the Pac-10 season begins next month.
Washington had an embarrassing loss at Portland in its opener, then got blown out by Kansas and lost to Florida last week.
Obi Muonelo scored 18 points for Oklahoma State (5-3), which lost for the third time in four games. The Cowboys lost to then-top 10 teams Gonzaga and Michigan State last week.
