Victoria Ishimatsu Named Pac-10 Women's Diver Of The Month

USC freshman Victoria Ishimatsu, who swept her events in the month of November as she has posted six first-place finishes to open her Trojan career, was named Pac-10 Women's Diver of the Month of November, the conference announced on Thursday (Dec. 4).
In a dual meet with Pac-10 foe Arizona on Nov. 14, Ishimatsu registered a 340.13 onthe one-meter springboard and 297.45 on the three-meter to secure both events for the Trojans. Against Arizona State on Nov. 15, the Seal Beach, Calif., native scored a 321.75 on the one-meter and a 311.10 on the three-meter to finish first for USC. Ishimatsu also placed first in both events at the Wildcat Invitational.
This is the first monthly honor for Ishimatsu and the fifth Women's Diver of the Month overall for USC.
Also at the Wildcat Invitational, fellow freshman Michela Fossati-Bellani was third on 1-meter (298.00). For the men, freshman Harrison Jones won the 3-meter (397.60) and was second on 1-meter (379.65). Sophomore Steven Starks was third on both with a 349.40 on 1-meter and a 357.35 on 3-meter.
