Ten ASU Football Student-Athletes Named To All-Pac-10 Team

TEMPE, Ariz. - Ten Arizona State University football student-athletes received All-Pacific-10 Conference honors, the Pac-10 announced today. Wide receiver Michael Jones and safety Troy Nolan were both Second-Team All-Pac-10.
Jones had a team-best 61 catches for 744 yards and four touchdowns this season. He had two 100-yard receiving games in 2008, including when he had 11 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns in ASU's win at Washington.
Nolan collected 64 tackles, four interceptions and a fumble recovery on the year. He also scored three touchdowns for the Sun Devils, with one coming on a 100-yard interception return in the team's 34-9 victory over UCLA on Nov. 28.
Quarterback Rudy Carpenter, defensive end Dexter Davis, defensive tackle Lawrence Guy, offensive linemen Shawn Lauvao, linebacker Mike Nixon, defensive end Luis Vasquez, kicker Thomas Weber and kick returner Kyle Williams all earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 honors.
