Lawrence Guy Named Freshman All-American By College Football News

TEMPE, Ariz. - Three Arizona State University football student-athletes earned spots on the CollegeFootballNews.com All-Freshman and Sophomore Teams, the website announced today. Defensive tackle Lawrence Guy was a First-Team All-Freshman selection, while kicker Thomas Weber was Second-Team All-Sophomore and cornerback Omar Bolden was Honorable Mention All-Sophomore.
Guy (Las Vegas, Nev.) played in all 12 games as a true freshman, starting the final eight of the season. He collected 44 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and two sacks, and he had a fumble return for a touchdown in ASU's victory over Washington State on Nov. 15.
Weber (Downey, Calif.) was 19-for-25 on field goal attempts and led the team with 86 points. He also handled the punting duties most of the season, averaging 41.4 yards per punt on 59 punts.
Bolden (Ontario, Calif.) started all 12 games at cornerback and was fifth on the team with 49 tackles. He also had two interceptions and seven pass break-ups on the season.
