What did it feel like to break the school record for the 1000 and 1650 free and then to break another school record in the 500 free?

It felt great. The whole team had been swimming really well all weekend, and I think the momentum from their races helped set me up to swim those events. I'm still pretty shocked about how well some of the races went, though. I can't wait to see how everything turns out at the end of the season.

What does it mean to you to hold the Washington school record in those events?

It means a lot. It has definitely been a goal of mine since I got here freshmen year, but I knew it was going to take a lot of hard work before it became realistic. Seeing all the former Husky All-Americans and Record Holders up on the wall around the pool, and knowing I might help contribute to their legacy, gives me a tremendous feeling of school pride.

On my iPod is...

Anything Classic Rock. I'm a huge fan of The Who, Billy Joel, CCR, ELO... the list is infinite. If it was made before I was born, I probably listen to it.

I would love to trade places for a day with...

I would have to say Will Smith. He's accomplished so much in nearly every field he's ever ventured into... Music, television, the film industry. I would love to know what he plans on doing next.

My favorite team(s) to watch as a kid was (were)...

I'm a huge Lakers fan. Every year I have been up here I've tried to make it to at least one of their games against the Super Sonics. I'm probably more upset about Seattle's franchise moving to Oklahoma City than a few Sonics fans are... but hey, there's always SportsCenter. I also try to follow the San Diego Chargers, especially when they play the Broncos (Head Coach Whitney Hite's home team), but that hasn't worked out too well for me this year.

My favorite athlete to watch is...

Kobe Bryant, hands down. He amazes me every time I watch him play. I remember watching the game where he scored 81 points against the Toronto Raptors; the highlights still give me goose bumps.

The talent I'd most like to have is...

My coach, John Fedena, and I actually talked about this the other day. I said I'd like to have extraordinary jumping abilities, because I feel like it would help with a lot of sports I wish I was better at. I'm sure there are a ton of better talents out there, but I can't think of any right now.

My favorite memory as a Husky is...

Every year, the men's swim team does a run around the Husky football stadium during an important home game. We paint our bodies to spell out G-O H-U-S-K-I-E-S-!, brave out into the freezing (and occasionally wet) Husky Stadium, and go around leading cheers for the fans. Even though most of us are completely numb by the time it's over, it is still one of the most fun and memorable experiences I've had with the team.

The attribute I most like about myself is...

Not too sure. I'm pretty good at laughing at myself, especially when I mess up. The problem is this happens too often.

My plans after college are...

I'm working on going to Law School either next year or the year after, but I know that process won't be easy. I definitely want to go out and see the world as well; I still haven't made it out of North America!

The best thing about the University of Washington is...

For me, it's the friends I have on the team. With as hard as the schedules are for Student-Athletes, knowing that you have a group of friends you can always depend on makes all the difference. The UW campus is also one of the most beautiful campuses I've seen, with a great academic standing and professors.

My funniest teammate is... because...

Probably Jon Banker. He has that unique ability to de-escalate any situation with a joke, which can come in handy once in a while. All the guys have great senses of humor though. You can't make it through a set without at least laughing with at least one of them.

The sport I'm the worst at is...

Baseball. I have pretty bad vision, which can be a problem when you're swinging at a seventy mile an hour ball.

Something about me that others would be surprised to hear is...

I used to be obsessed with the T.V. show Magnum PI. And by used to be, I mean I dressed up as Tom Selleck last Halloween.

Which of your teammates would you like to trade places with for a day and why?

Yonatan Cohen. He's a breaststroker and a physics genius, two things I'll never be. Also, I'd finally understand what he and Erez Fern are talking about in Hebrew everyday!

The best advice I've received was.... from....

'Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped.'-- One of my history professors after our class scored low on a test.

My biggest pet peeve is... because.....

Infomercials that are actually interesting! I get hooked watching about how some crazy knife that I would never use can actually cut through a solid steel hammer... this is especially a problem during finals week.

But wait... there's more!

What I miss most about my hometown is...

Going to the beach with my friends and 70 degree days in the winter.
