Swimming to Compete in Florida Atlantic Invite

CORVALLIS, Ore. - After coming off a fourth place finish at the Husky Invitational two weekends ago, the Oregon State women's swim team heads to Boca Raton, Fla. to compete in the Florida Atlantic Invitational Saturday, Dec. 20 beginning at 10 a.m.
During the Husky Invite, Oregon State qualified two swimmers for the NCAA Championships in the 200 butterfly. Saori Haruguchi qualified by winning the event, while Kayla Rawlings finished in second during the preliminaries.
Anna Heller broke several personal records and moved up on the Oregon State all-times list in the 200 backstroke (fourth), the 100 backstroke (fifth), 400 individual medley (sixth) and scored over 100 points for the Beavers on the weekend, while several other swimmers also broke personal records and moved on to the Oregon State all-time list.
Also competing at the Florida Atlantic Invite is Northwestern, Florida Atlantic and Denver.
Oregon State jumps back into the pool when the Beavers travel to Arizona to take on the Wildcats Friday, Jan. 2, and the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday, Jan. 3.
