Men's Soccer Places Seven On Pac-10 All-Academic

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Oregon State men's soccer team landed seven players on the All Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic squad the conference office announced on Thursday. Oregon State placed four on the first-team, including senior Daniel Leach who is a two-time first-team honoree, all-conference selection during his career.
Leach, a senior with a 3.63 GPA in psychology, joins teammates Ryan Callahan (3.45 GPA, business administration), Tim Kelly (3.61 GPA, business administration) and Michael Miller (3.52 GPA, history and education) on the first-team All-Academic list. Callahan picks up his first first-team honor after receiving second-team honors the last two seasons, while Kelly and Miller each pick up their first career selection.
Oregon State placed three on the All Pac-10 second team as Tracy Hasson (3.32 GPA, business administration), Mike Parker (3.69 GPA, business administration) and Justin Woodward (3.49 GPA, business administration) represented the Beavers on the squad.
With the selection, Hasson marked the third time in his career he has earned all-academic honors, while Parker and Woodward each earned their first career selection.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
Oregon State finished the season with an overall record of 6-9-4 and finished tied for fourth in the Pac-10 Conference standings with a conference record of 3-5-2.
